LAMPRE MERIDA. Un ringraziamento e un saluto a Chris Horner
Al termine dell’annata durante la quale Chris Horner ha vestito i colori della LAMPRE-MERIDA, la formazione blu-fucsia-verde rivolge al corridore americano un sincero saluto e un ringraziamento per l’anno trascorso assieme.
Il 2014 ha visto Horner affrontare alcuni imprevisti, tra i quali un serio incidente occorso in allenamento: per la LAMPRE-MERIDA è stato un grande successo aver visto Chris riprendersi dalle gravi conseguenze riportate e tornare alle gare fino ad arrivare a dare il proprio contributo alla squadra in occasione del Tour de France.
Per queste vicissitudini, il potenziale dell’atleta non è stato espresso fino in fondo, ma la LAMPRE-MERIDA ha potuto apprezzare lo sprito propositivo, la passione per il ciclismo e l’impegno per la squadra mostrati da Horner: per tutto l’anno Chris è stato esempio di professionalità, investendo inoltre sulla propria esperienza per dare utili insegnamenti ai più giovani.
Pur separandosi i cammini professionali, l’augurio per Chris è quello di poter avere altre opportunità per mostrare le proprie qualità umane e ciclistiche: sarebbe stato bello se le strade del team e di Horner si fossero unite già anni fa per un rapporto più duraturo.
At the end of the season, Team LAMPRE-MERIDA sends there best wishes and gratefulness to the American cyclist Chris Horner for year he spent in the team.
In 2014 Horner had to face many unfortunate incidents, the most unfortunate being the terrible crash during training before the Giro d’Italia: for LAMPRE-MERIDA seeing Chris coming back to races and taking part in Tour de France after this serious injury was a huge success, however even after his hard work and due to these situations Chris was not fortunate enough to demonstrate his true potential, LAMPRE-MERIDA would like to show there appreciation to Horner for his proactive attitude, his passion for cycling, sacrifices and efforts he made for the team during the 2014 season: Chris has been a true professional in all senses, especially with his experience which the young riders exploited.
Team LAMPRE-MERIDA wish Chris all the best for his future: it would have been great for the team and Chris to have crossed paths earlier on in his career in order to have had a longer relationship.
