TOUR DE LANGKAWI: MARECZKO CONCEDE IL BIS E SI PORTA IN TESTA ALLA CLASSIFICA A PUNTI
Doppio colpo per Jakub Mareczko e per la Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia che grazie al suo velocista di punta porta a casa il secondo successo di tappa al Tour de Langkawi e la leadership nella classifica a punti ad una giornata dalla conclusione.
E’ stata una giornata estremamente positiva per gli uomini di Luca Amoriello con Mareczko che ha iniziato la sua rimonta nella classifica della maglia celeste conquistando il primo sprint intermedio di giornata.
Dopo 50 km andava via la fuga di giornata con cinque uomini tra cui Jacopo Mosca che, oltre a tentare l’attacco alla top 10 della classifica generale, garantiva ai suoi compagni di squadra la possibilità di non spendere troppe energie come accaduto nei giorni scorsi.
A 3 km dall’arrivo Mosca veniva ripreso ma la squadra riusciva comunque ad organizzare un eccellente treno, nonostante la pioggia, lasciando a Mareczko l’onere di finalizzare al meglio il grande lavoro di gruppo e di imporsi per il secondo anno di fila sul traguardo di Rambau
“Ho vinto qua l’anno scorso e quindi pensavo di potermi ripetere anche quest’anno. I ragazzi sono stati fantastici, è grazie a loro che ho potuto ripetermi e conquistare anche la maglia celeste. Domani c’è un’altra occasione, spero di poter regalare un altro successo a questo fantastico gruppo”
TOUR DE LANGKAWI: MARECZKO STRIKES AGAIN AND WEARS THE TEAL JERSEY
Double tap for Jakub Mareczko and for Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia that, thanks to his main sprinter, brings home the second stage victory at Le Tour de Langkawi and in the same time achieves the leadership in the sprints classification with one day to go.
It was an extremely positive day for the men leader by Luca Amoriello with Mareczko who started his come back in the points classification winning the first intermediate sprint of the day.
After 50 kms then Jacopo Mosca was able to enter in the five men breakaway attempting to reach the top 10 of the general classification and in the same time letting his team mates to don’t spend energies in the chase like in the previous days.
With only 3 kms to go Mosca’s attempt was neutralized and the team, altought the pouring rain, was amazing in the organization of a train for Mareczko that was the fastest man today. The bresciano sprinter wins for the second year in a row in Rambau
“I won here in 2016 and I thought I could do it again today. The guys were brilliant, thanks to them I did it today and I’m wearing the teal jersey. Tomorrow there will be another chance and I really hope to give another joy to this wonderful team”.
