BARDIANI-CSF PER STRADE BIANCHE E GP LARCIANO
Nel weekend che sta per arrivare la Bardiani-CSF torna alle competizioni nazionali. Sabato 4 marzo il #GreenTeam sarà sulla scena della suggestiva Strade Bianche, la semi-classica toscana (175 km da e per Siena) da quest’anno inserita nel calendario UCI World Tour. Il giorno seguente, domenica 5, si sposterà a Larciano per il Gran Premio Industria & Artigianato, prova 1.HC disegnata su una distanza di 199 km.
Formazione – Agli ordini del diesse Roberto Reverberi ci saranno otto corridori di cui sette reduci dall’esperienza all’Abu Dhabi Tour: Simone Andreetta, Nicola Boem, Mirco Maestri, Stefano Pirazzi, Alessandro Tonelli, Luca Wackermann ed Edoardo Zardini. A questi si aggiungerà Simone Velasco, pienamente recuperato dopo i problemi gastrointestinali che l’hanno costretto al ritiro dal Tour de Langkawi.
Commento – “Ci prepariamo ad affrontare due prove esigenti con una lista partenti di tutto rispetto” ha spiegato Reverberi. “L’obiettivo è sempre quello di onorare la corsa al massimo delle possibilità. La Strade Bianche è quasi diventata una gara per specialisti del Nord, richiede caratteristiche che ancora non abbiamo nelle nostre corde ma che sappiamo poter sviluppare. Larciano è invece una prova per scalatori e corridori di fondo, avremo sicuramente più alternative da poterci giocare”.
Curiosità – Dalla sua nascita il #GreenTeam ha sempre disputato le due corse. Alla Strade Bianche il miglior risultato è stato ottenuto da Canola nel 2014 (22°) mentre al GP di Larciano Bongiorno si è piazzato terzo nel 2014. La media età della formazione è di 25 anni con Pirazzi il più esperto (29 anni) e Velasco il più giovane (21). La Bardiani-CSF affronterà il weekend con, alle spalle, 25 giorni di gara nei quali ha ottenuto una vittoria (Barbin al Tour de Langkawi), un podio (Ruffoni al Tour de San Luis) e quindici piazzamenti top 10 con quattro corridori differenti.
TUSCAN WEEKEND FOR THE GREENTEAM
AT STRADE BIANCHE AND GP LARCIANO
Bardiani-CSF return racing on Italian roads during the weekend. On Saturday, February 4, the #GreenTeam will be on the scene of Strade Bianche, the 175 km spectacular and Classic-look-like race around Siena, this year included in UCI World Tour calendar; the day after, Sunday the 5th, the same team will compete in Larciano (Pistoia) for Gran Premio Industria & Artigianato, 199 km up & down race, 1.HC category.
Line up – The eight men squad at disposal of team director Roberto Reverberi includes seven riders coming from Abu Dhabi Tour experience – Simone Andreetta, Nicola Boem, Mirco Maestri, Stefano Pirazzi, Alessandro Tonelli, Luca Wackermann and Edoardo Zardini – and one from Tour de Langkawi, Simone Velasco, who recovered from gastrointestinal problems suffered during the race.
Quote – “We’re going to face two demanding races with starting lists full of big names” said Reverberi. “Our target is always honoring the competition at our best. Strade Bianche became a race for North expert riders and, although we need to improve our expertise, we look for a gutsy ride; Larciano is suited for the the characteristics of our riders and we’ll have for sure few options to play”.
Facts – Since the first year of its experience the #GreenTeam always raced both races. The best results achieved at Strade Bianche has been taken by Canola in 2014 (22nd) while at GP Larciano Bongiorno placed third in 2014. Average age of the squad is 25 years old – Pirazzi the oldest (29) and Velasco the youngest (21). Bardiani-CSF will compete in the weekend after 25 days of race achieving one win (Barbin at Tour de Langkawi), one podium (Ruffoni at Tour de San Luis) and fifteen top ten placements with four different riders.
