LUGANO E BELGIO NIPPO VINI FANTINI: IN MOSTRA I GIOVANI E BRILLANO LE PUNTE

Ottimi segnali di crescita nel weekend di doppia attività della #MontagnaBlu. Colli 5° in Belgio, Cunego 10° a Lugano. Nibali, Pozzo, Berlato, Filosi in evidenza.

Un weekend di ottimi segnali e nuovi piazzamenti per la NIPPO Vini Fantini impegnata su due fronti nel weekend. Al Nord, nell’apertura ufficiale del mese – culto del Belgio, Daniele Colli ha colto u‎no strepitoso quinto posto nella Kuurne – Bruxelles – Kuurne, alle spalle dei migliori velocisti del mondo (Ha vinto Cavendish su Kristoff e Viviani), completando una buona giornata di corsa del team, protagonista nella fuga di giornata con Mattia Pozzo. Pozzo ha rotto il ghiaccio con le fughe – sua grande specialità – mentre Colli ha preso le misure in una volata di qualità, anche grazie all’aiuto prezioso dei compagni di squadra Alessandro Malaguti e Pierpaolo De Negri, entrambi nel gruppo di testa nel finale. De Negri, per altro, ha confermato l’ottimo stato di forma, dopo la bella prova di ieri nell’Het Nieuwsblad. “Siamo felici di questo piazzamento – ammette Mario Manzoni, alla guida del team in Belgio – ma c’é ancora tanto da fare. Siamo una squadra giovane e fresca che sta prendendo le misure con le corse, siamo affiatati e i ragazzi sanno aiutarsi bene. Speriamo di lasciare il segno già in questa prima trasferta al nord”.

A circa 1000 km di distanza, in terra Svizzera, altri ottimi segnali dalla pattuglia #OrangeBlue guidata da Stefano Giuliani‎ al G.P. Lugano, vinto da Bonifazio (Lampre) e che ha visto Cunego chiudere al 10° posto. Un piazzamento modesto di per sé, salvo essere arrivato dopo una giornata in cui Damiano é stato grande protagonista e spesso primo attore della corsa, seguendo Ivan Basso nelle sue progressioni in salita e facendo lavorare bene la squadra in vista del finale. Un finale per altro danneggiato da una violenta sbandata a circa 500 metri dall’arrivo che ha fatto perdere posizioni preziose al Capitano Veronese, scivolato in coda al gruppetto che si é giocato la corsa.‎
Oltre a Damiano, la NIPPO Vini Fantini porta a casa una lunga fuga (oltre 100 km) di Antonio Nibali, in bella vista in una corsa nervosa e impegnativa, al suo secondo giorno di gara, con il prezioso contributo di Berlato e Filosi nel controllare la corsa e chiudere su ogni azione pericolosa, come fatto nel finale da un brillantissimo Alessandro Bisolti, determinante nell’ultima tornata.

Insomma, una NIPPO Vini Fantini unita e competitiva in un weekend di piazzamenti e ottimi segnali, che fanno ben sperare in vista del primo grande e importante impegno stagionale cui il team tiene: le strade bianche in programma Sabato 7 marzo.

LUGANO AND BELGIUM NIPPO VINI FANTINI: ON SHOW THE YOUNG AND GOOD SIGNAL FROM THE LEADERS

In the North, the official opening of the month – worship of Belgium, Daniele Colli took a sensational fifth place in Kuurne – Brussels – Kuurne, behind of the best sprinters in the world (Cavendish wins on Kristoff and Viviani), completing a good day running of the team, the protagonist in the escape of the day with Mattia Pozzo. Pozzo broke “the ice” with the escapes – its great specialties – while Colli has taken steps in a sprint finish quality, even with the help of valuable teammates Alessandro Malaguti and Pierpaolo De Negri, both in the leading group in the final. De Negri, moreover, confirmed his excellent status, after a good test yesterday in Het Nieuwsblad. “We are happy for this placement – admits Mario Manzoni, the sportive director of the team in Belgium – but there is still much to do. At about 1000 km away, in Switzerland, other good signals from #OrangeBlue led by Stefano Giuliani at GP Lugano, won by Bonifazio (Lampre) and which saw Cunego at 10th place. A modest placement, unless arriving after a day in which Damiano was often one the first actors of the race, following Ivan Basso in his progressions uphill and doing a well work with his teammates thinking to the final part. A final for another damaged by a violent lurch about 500 meters from the finish which saw him lose valuable positions, slipped in the queue to the group that has played the race.
Besides at Damiano, the NIPPO Vini Fantini takes home a long escape (over 100 km) of Antonio Nibali, in plain sight in a race nervous and demanding, in his second day of competition, with the valuable contribution of Berlato and Filosi for all the day. Precious also Alessandro Bisolti, decisive in the last round.

In short, a NIPPO Vini Fantini united and competitive in a weekend of placings and great signals, that bode well ahead of the first big and important commitment of the season: the “white roads” scheduled Saturday, March 7.
