NIPPO VINI FANTINI. Manzoni sarà il secondo direttore sportivo
Mario Manzoni, classe 69, 14 anni di professionismo e 10 da Direttore Sportivo nel 2015 affiancherà Stefano Giuliani nella nuova NIPPO Vini Fantini De Rosa.
Un progetto Professional inedito, una nuova realtà che si definisce “start-up del ciclismo” per costruirsi con un approccio nuovo, basato in primis su immagine e chiarezza. A guidare il team, insieme a Stefano Giuliani, primo direttore tecnico della squadra, sarà proprio Manzoni, approdato in questo gruppo dopo un importante percorso da Direttore Sportivo, iniziato nella categoria Juniores e proseguito prima tra i dilettanti e poi tra i professionisti: “Sono felice di essere stato coinvolto in questo progetto – spiega il direttore Bergamasco – perché ritrovo Giuliani, per cui ho corso in carriera e per cui ho stima in quanto grande motivatore e tattico in corsa, unito ad un gruppo giovane che vuole crescere con tanta chiarezza e innovazione, senza però dimenticarsi le origini e le basi fondamentali di questo sport”.
Già, le fondamenta, linfa vitale su cui costruire un team, sopratutto quando si parte da tanti giovani talentuosi: “In squadra abbiamo un pool di giovani dalle splendide speranze. Puntiamo ad educarli e guidarli senza stress, dandogli la possibilità di imparare e di essere guidati da un corridore di esperienza come Cunego ed altri ragazzi già conosciuti nell’ambiente. Abbiamo quindi un bel mix di atleti con cui lavorare, stimolando tutto lo staff. Ringrazio Giuliani e tutto il management per la fiducia accordatami, e non vedo l’ora di cominciare a lavorare”.
Uno start ai lavori che non tarderà ad arrivare. E’ già fissato infatti il primo appuntamento di squadra: il 20 e 21 la squadra de lla “Montagna Blu” si riunirà infatti a Bologna per il primo meeting di impostazione lavoro.

In 2015, he will manage with Stefano Giuliani the new team formation NIPPO – Vini Fantini – De Rosa. This is an innovative Pro project, a new reality that calls itself “the new start-up of the cycling world” in order to grow, according a new approach guided by the keywords: clarity and marketing image. Together with Stefano Giuliani, first sporting director of the team, Mario Manzoni will lead the team. After an important career as sporting director in the Juniores category and developed in the amateur and Pro field, Manzoni declares: “ I am happy to be in this project, because I have the chance to work with Giuliani again and because I have a great consideration of him as motivator and race strategist. This is a young team that wants to grow, without forgetting its origins and the fundamentals of this sport”.
Fundamentals can be compared to the nourishment of the team, above all when there are lots of young talented riders. “In the team, there are young riders with high hopes. We aim at educating them and leading the team, avoiding to put too much pressure on our athletes. We want to give them the chance to learn and to be led by a skilled rider like Cunego and other talented people, who are already known in the cycling world. I am grateful towards Giuliani and all the team management for the trust showed and I can not wait to give a start to this adventure”.
The start is already scheduled for November 20th – 21st. In those days The Blue Mountain Team will plan its “to do list” and the athletes will also have the pleasure to take part in their first meeting.
